Tagesan Fudouson Temple is located 110km to the northwest of Utsunomiya half way up Mount Tagesan (376m).An old temple which the successive generations of the Utsnomiya clan worshipped at, and is known as a fudouson for preventing fires and ensuring prosperous sales.The natural forest around the main hall is designated as a city natural treasure. Mount Tagesan was a mountain castle in medieval times, and climbing to the top of Mount Tagesan takes approximately 30 minutes. Famous as a place for viewing cherry trees in the spring and the changing of the leaves in autumn.
