Kinzoin Temple

This temple, which is named Iozan Konzoin Temple, is a branch temple of Koheiji Temple in Iwafune Town and Shingon Buzan sect of Japanese Buddhism. There is a copper standing statue of Ksitigarbha which is designated a tangible cultural property by Sano City. It is said to have been built for souls of people who died in water accidents by their families and friends. It is also believed that Sano Nobuyoshi, who was a lord of Sano Castle, took refuge at this temple in the Keicho Era after he was stripped of all his posts. There is also a statue of Juroson (the god of wisdom), which is one of the seven gods of good fortune.
