The location of Chofukuji Temple has convenient access by highway, located 5 minutes from the Kita-Kanto National Expressway Tsuga Interchange or 10 minutes from the Tohoku Expressway Tochigi Interchange. The Yakushi hall of the medicine Buddha was constructed in 1467 and remains today much as it was then, with very little modification. The 2 weeping cherry trees that stand across from the hall are very old at over 200 years of age, and large numbers of tourists visit during the spring to see the trees bloom.
