Imamiya Jinja Shrine was built in 1532 on Mt. Gotenyama by Mibu Tsunafusa who also built Kanuma Castle. In October of every year the "Kanuma Buttsuke Autumn Festival" is held when the beautiful and elegantly carved yatai floats are paraded around. The "Kanuma Buttsuke Autumn Festival" was held in every part of the old city as part of the Imamiya Jinja Shrine Reitaisai Gold Spring Festival, where the wonderfully carved, edo-style yatai floats are paraded about.
