Mikaeri no Taki Falls

Mikaeri no Taki Falls was mentioned the Osaki Koyo’s Konjiki Yasha, and is one of Shiobara’s representative waterfalls. One crosses the Mikaeri suspension bridge and walks about 10 meters to reach the viewing platform where the waterfall can be viewed in its full glory. The waterfall can be seen to be almost crystal-like from the viewing platform. The name, “Mikaeri no Taki” means “Look back waterfall” and was given because the scenery is so beautiful that it is said visitors cannot leave without looking back at the falls.
